Well I think we need to find a faster means of space travel I believe the best way would not be a worm hole because of possible "feedback" resulting in distraction of everything, but folding space is my best foreseeable means of travel, we only would need to grapple two points of space and pull them to a central point and sort of just "step over" the now smaller gap. Now as to owed earthly count of stars and galaxies it is very possible that there are More that we don't see with our limited telescopic devices, we have Been discovering stars and such since we first gazed at the sky and there is no reason why that shouldn't continue as technology progresses, and with all this said, yes, with the new means of travel and other such technologies we surely will conquer new worlds long after ours has been swallowed by the sun.

well theres actually a particle line expanding from some unknown point of origin. that line is an uncrossible line and its the farthest we can see to. due to the universal speed limit of light its impossible to cross the line because its moving at the speed of light and due to the time on earth before space travel plus the time it takes to start moving at the speed of light the line will be so far away it will be impossible for us to ever get there and pass it. and the sun will not explode even in your great (x1 trillion) grand child's lifetime. the sun is such a renewable source of energy because its own chemical reactions cause themselves so there is no reason the sun should explode. so its not about time its if mankind can actually become peaceful were we have no need to fight and our lives are purly to better ourselves and enjoy our life. so if at that time we want to space travel like take tours of the galaxy then theres no reason why we wont but we will never be able to pass that particle line

The sun will not explode in a few million years, it will explode in 4-5 billion years, if we actually got the suns age correct. Our type of star, a yellow dwarf, has a 10 billion year life span, its almost 5 billion years old, according to scientist and astronomers.
