Where do I put the 6 in (x+15)(x-4)? Do I break it up, is there a certain process?
-
6x^2+11x-10=0
=(3x-2)(2x+5)=0
x=2/3 and x=-5/2
=(3x-2)(2x+5)=0
x=2/3 and x=-5/2

the answers posted are correct, but we would have to know the sign of (11x) to be certain. 'cause that change the signs of the factors if 11x was negative or positive.

it actually breaks apart into
(3x-2)(2x+5)
use the tick tack tow method
(3x-2)(2x+5)
use the tick tack tow method
-
6x^2 +11x-10 = 0
6x^2 +15x-4x-10 = 0
3x(2x+5)-2(2x+5)=0
(3x-2) (2x+5) = 0
x=2/3 or x=-2/5
6x^2 +15x-4x-10 = 0
3x(2x+5)-2(2x+5)=0
(3x-2) (2x+5) = 0
x=2/3 or x=-2/5
