Colonisation of mars

I have come to the conclusion that the colonisation of mars is a fruitless experiment, earth has a magnetisphere which protects us from the suns gamma rays and helps keep our atmosphere in tact. mars has no magnetisphere so even if we terra-formed the planet and created a breathable atmosphere using global warming, surely one big blast of a gamma ray would simply blow the new atmosphere away, therefore ruining all the hard work and instantly killing any marsians?

when the technology becomes available, we could inject liquid iron into the planets core. since mars spins as fast as earth does, creating a cintrifigul force of electromagnetism creating an electromagnetic field.

by the time we have the power and technology to colonize mars. i believe we will also have the technology for radiation shielding on a planet size. maybe the entire planet could be placed inside a giant bauble to protect it from radiation and microwaves.

The universe contains hidden forces not always physical in nature. Whatever Man sets his mind and will to do, he can do. The will has tremendous power... greater than physics.

We can always build domes on Mars for permanent habitation.
