and its not P(A) * P(B).My gut tells me it should be around 1.5% but i cant seem to remember(or find) the equation...Thanks!......
Ok so i have two independent probabilities:
P(A)=0.01
P(B)=0.01

What is the probability of P(A) or P(B)?
(I know its not P(A) + P(B), and its not P(A) * P(B). )
My gut tells me it should be around 1.5% but i cant seem to remember(or find) the equation...

Thanks!

-
P(A) + P(B) = 1 - P(A*)P(B*) = 1 - 0.99^2 = 0.0199

where I use P(A*) as meaning "probability of NOT A", etc.
