Is the whole comet Elenin hitting earth just a theory? Should I be concerned at all or is it all just made up? If the comet does hit earth, what'll happen? Please tell me what you know! And no stupid answers please.

your mass has more effect on the tectonic plates of the earth than does this poor little comet,, who ain't never done nothing to hurt no one!
The world will not end for billions of years. Humans will be long gone by then. I'll be dead in 20 years, you in 50 or 70 barring disease or accident or stupid behavior.
People are so self-centered and desperate for something interesting in their lives, they invent, over and over and over again, Doomsday scenarios. Instead of joining this pitiful group, may I suggest you do something truly exciting so you don't have to rely on internet hoaxes, nutjob religions, or TV car chases to thrill you. Life is short, kiddo--far too short to pay attention to stupid hoaxes or spend one second of your precious remaining time on such worries.

It isn't a theory: it's a bald faced lie. Elenin is a perfectly ordinary, fairly small comet, which won't come anywhere near Earth.
Don't ever ask a scientist if something is "just a theory": in science, a theory is the highest level of scientific truth attainable.
You can't blow up something like a comet or an asteroid: that would leave you with hundreds of fragments incoming, which would be worse than when you started.

Comet Elenin is a smaller than average comet (nucleus about four miles across) that will be closest to Earth in September--22 million miles at closest. Whatever jackazz told you it will hit Earth should be treated with the contempt they deserve, and in the future regarded as either a hopeless liar or a deliberate hoaxer, biut in any case not to be believed on anything.
