Can you walk on the shields? Like on the inside of the bubble that protects the ships?

According to a bit of research, and years as a Star Trek fan, I'd say no. The deflector shields are not like a solid bubble to walk on or under. It's more like an energy field and I'd imagine anything that comes into contact with it would not do very well. So, to do a space walk to fix something outside the ship would require that the shields be down.
Found this online..."Mr. Scott's Guide to the Enterprise stated that shields on post-refit Constitution-class vessels were generated by the subatomic scan and replication of an alloy known as diburnium-osmium, and then projected as a force field beyond a ship's hull along the shield grid. In "That Which Survives", the alloy of diburnium and osmium was discovered by Kirk to be the hardest alloy known to the Federation".
That sounds like pretty nasty stuff to come into contact with, like being in a transporter gone bad. A body would probably just disintegrate instantly...
in the sci-fi Star Trek Universe that is.

Deflector Shield.
Causes objects to be repelled away when they collide with it. Drawback:the energy from the collision still impacts the hull, just lessened.
So, probably, you could, supposing you did not slam your foot back to the shield.

that's something i have always wondered, when the Shields are up can they have a picnic on the hull? also the "shields" never seem to do anything and everything just hits the ship anyways lol

As others have noted there are better categories for this but yes, there have been several instances where the shield have been shown to interact with physical objects either by forcing or preventing movement.

Star Trek shields are completely imaginary and do not exist except on TV. This question would be better answered in the Television forum on Yahoo.

As William Shatner once put it, "It's just a TV show! Get a life!"
