....!-1.......
1.What is the element with a valence electron configuration of 4s24p2 ?___________

2.What is the element with a valence electron configuration of 3s23p4 ?_____________

Any help I receive is appreciated.....!

-
1. Germanium has two electrons in its outermost p-orbital.

2. Sulfur has four electrons in its outermost p-orbital.

-
It would if you write the orbit names on where it says IA and IIA on your periodic table1s1 and 1s2For IIIAand over 2p1 2p2 etc. Start at IIIB and name imn order 3d1 3d2 etc.

1. Ge germainium
2. S sulphur.
The outermost of every row are the s electrons which are the ones that are donated first' So carbon has a valence of 4 losing or sharing the 2s2 electrons and the 2p1 and 2p2 electrons. See how it works?

According to the electron configuration of 4s24p2, this element is in the Period 4 and in Group 4, so it HAS to be Germanium.
In Period 3 Group 3 is Sulfur.
