What do you think of this

So will the earth be ending in 2036 since this big asteroid is heading towards us? Even though nasa will send soemthing too try and change the course of its direction it may not work :(

There is a very small asteroid that will pass close in 2036, but will not hit. It seems like nobody ever says the word asteroid without also saying giant, even though every single asteroid that has any chance at all of ever hitting Earth is quite small as asteroids go. None of the big ones is in an Earth crossing orbit.

Asteroid 99942 Apophis (the one that will pass close in 2036) is only about 270 meters (900 feet) wide, which is pretty small as asteroids go. But still, if a 900 foot rock hit a city at 30,000 MPH it would make an explosion larger than a nuclear weapon. The city would be totally destroyed but Earth as a whole would hardly notice it at all.

Dude, check the facts before making broad assumptions.

Apophis has a VERY small chance of hitting the Earth. IN ADDITION, and perhaps MOST IMPORTANTLY, if it DID hit the Earth it would cause only regional damage. It will NOT "end the Earth" so to speak, or even humanity, for that matter.

So, as long as you are not in the impact zone, you will probably survive. Ok?

It will have a tiny chance of hitting, and won't blow up the earth.. it will do a fair amount of damage but not to end the world.
Oh, and the only way it CAN hit us is if it passes through a 600M patch in space... 1/250,000 chance of that.

Jupiter's gravity field will likely re-route it. And even if it is headed in our direction, it will probably miss us anyway.

Of what??? Of asteroid? It is very dangerous!

It would probably miss us, i mean the Earth is circling the sun. What if the Earth moves away from its directions or something? Anyways, its not going to happen.

Just because it's headed to us does not mean it will hit us.
