What I mean is can a song be better than another song or is it just everyone's personal opinion meaning every song has the potential to be better than any-other song. Or is it that one song is actually definitively better than the other meaning that its a fact that one song is better than the other. I just want to know if you think songs are all opinion based because if that's true than i'll stop wasting my time looking for specific songs and i'll just listen to whatever songs are most convenient to get my hands on. What i mean is why waste my time looking for "that one song" because if its all just opinionated than doesn't that mean i could potentially get equal enjoyment out of basically just about any-song instead of listening to bands I consider great like Radiohead, The beatles, Led zeppelin, Pink floyd, Nirvana, Arcade fire, exedra exedra. Because if its all just an opinion and not definitive. That means these groups that I love are only about as good as any-other band and if that's true it won't devastate me too bad. But I know there's allot of aspects to cover. But i'm not talking about how original, different, or creative a song is i'm talking about how good it makes you feel. If its an opinion that means that any song has just as much potential to make you feel as good as any-other song i know that some songs make you angry and others sad and others others exedra exedra i'm saying for example anger can make you feel good just like any-other emotion can like sadness and love exedra exedra and i'm talking about how good it makes you feel not the type of emotion you feel but how euphoric it makes you feel I would like to here what you think especially if you think it's a fact. You don't have to go in depth if you don't want to especially if you think its an opinion. But if you feel you need to go into depth than by all means go right ahead especially if you think its a fact. This isn't really relevant but the whole reason for me asking this question is because my best friend doesn't like my taste of music at all but i always thought my favorite music was superior to most other songs that's why its my favorite music. But my best friend says it's all just an opinion and I don't know of anything that proves (by proves i mean scientific measurements that show one song to be better than another one) that it would be a fact so i'm thinking that he's probably right. You can completely disregard my details I won't feel offended. But anyway. IS IT AN OPINION OR A FACT? What do u think?

Obviously, it's opinion. Even the word "better" is highly ambiguous when it comes to art/music. On one day one song may be great, because of my mood. It's "better" that day than other songs. The very next day, "better" will change. Assuming by better we mean, I like it more.
