the head and the abdomen or thorax or whatever you call it. The stripe is in the middle of the second division. Its really cool looking, but what is it called?-Im thinking it could be a type of Mutillidae. Common names are velvet ant or cow ant.......
I live in Kansas, and I saw a bug that kind of looked like a large ant. It was fully orange except for the black stripe. It only has two divisions, the head and the abdomen or thorax or whatever you call it. The stripe is in the middle of the second division. It's really cool looking, but what is it called?

I'm thinking it could be a type of 'Mutillidae.' Common names are velvet ant or cow ant.
