I am in NC going through the first of this right now, and Ive prepared supply of food/water/lights/etc -- stay away from windows -- do not go outside or drive for any reason! --- watch the windows periodically for flooding, trees down, etc.. -- and listen closely...

I'm an EMT, so I'll be stationed at the building for a few days. So I personally don't have to have plans, but you should have nonperishable foods and water available and just hunker down and ride out the storm.

stay inside. eat. sleep.. play video games. watch tv. be a nerd. just get bottled water, galloned water, snacks, sandwich stuff, batteries, candles, flashlights, etc. and youll be fine. good luck.

I don't actually believe that there's gonna be a hurricane, but if there is, i hope it doesn't hit my house at Brooklyn, N.Y. I'm just gonna go through the day as usual.

stock up on food and water. have flashlights. take in anything in your yard that might fly away. read a book. watch the storm. listen to your ipod. go on a laptop. watch a movie if possible.
