I'm going to a church with my friends this Sunday, but its going to be dangerous because of the hurricane. Should I go with them next time?

If things calm down by Sunday,I don't see why not. IF it's still really scary outside i recommend not. If you're having second thoughts about going it's probably a bad idea. I'm sure whatever god you worship will not be upset if you staying home is for your safety.

The biggest killer in a Hurricane is the storm surge (super low pressure of the storm causes extremely high tides and wind pushes water inland) if you are on the coast in a low lying area and your public authority says to evacuate DO IT. The next biggest cause of death is walking around after it is over. Power lines down, debris, toxins, street lights out etc...For the rest of it, go to National Hurricane Center http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/ and look at the wind models for you area if TS wind only its probably ok to be in a house or a mobile home. If category 2 or beyond leave mobile homes go to local shelter. I have been through five of them still kicking here.
