For those women who have had a waterbirth with any of their children:
WHat was the experience like? Was the pain lessened? Can you ask the midwife to clean the baby afterwards? Would you recommend it over other birthing options?

You probably won't get the answers you're looking for in the paranormal section, so you may want to ask in the proper section.
When I had my kids, I went to a prehistoric hospital that wouldn't even club me over the head to get me out of my misery. I attended lamaze, thinking that would help me, but given that I've got an attention span of a gnat, it didn't work. I can't see how pain can be lessened unless you've got an epidural. Seems water births are done, not commonly though. I love getting dirty, but somehow thinking of purposefully sitting in a tub of my own blood turns my stomach. There are videos on youtube showing waterbirths. I personally recommend hospital births, you never know if there will be complications or not, and your precious baby isn't worth the risk. Best of luck to you.
