Okay, the secret is in the names. I presume you know that prokaryotes and eukaryote are two types of organisms, they are actually greek names and if you split them up into segments it gets easier.
karyote means nucleus which contains the vital DNA code. Now "pro" means before, this means that prokaryotes are cells that came before the nnucleuswhilst "eu" means true which tells us that these are cells with a nucleus. Now today every organism except bacteria are eukaryote cells, and bacteria are prokaryote cells, I hope this helped you:)
