My blood type is B+ although both my parents blood types are O+. Shouldn't mine be the same as theirs?

Claire,
No, not necessarily. They may have O positive blood types themselves and both have a recessive gene for B positive. There may well be other family members of theirs who have B positive. This makes it possible for them to have a child whose blood type is not their own. Best wishes.
