Hello everybody...I am an Italian girl who is thinking of becoming a radiologic technologist. I can't afford to attend a college in the US, so I have to attend a University in Italy. After graduation,I want to work (maybe in the UK for a short period) to get some experience and study English, and then emigrate to the United States as soon as possible and work there. But I have a question...will I be employed immediately or will I have to take some exams in order to be eligible for a job? just out of curiosity,I looked up some job advertisements and it is always written ''ARRT license required'' and other things...moreover,is my Italian laurea the equivalent of an associate's degree or of a bachelor's degree? What I now is very little.
I hope to have been clear.
please I need an explanation from well informed people. Thanks in advance to everybody!

Usually, when you move to a different country, you will have to write the
national exam for that country. You can write to the ARRT and ask
for their syllabus of studies, and compare it to the one you will be studying
in the UK, to see if the hours of study and course content are about
equivalent, and if that would qualify you to write the exam. You can
also check with them to see if they automatically accept qualifications
from abroad.

You will have to hope that by the time you finish, that the economy is
much better. At this moment, it isnext to impossible for people to get
green cards. My friend is married to an American, the marriage is
34 yrs along, and they are trying to take away her green card. l also
met a woman who is married to a cardiac sugeon, who had been p
practising in NC for almost 10 yrs, and was having trouble keeping his
green card. l am not trying to scare you off, just alert you to the
possible complications of attaining your dream
