Should I stop taking my medication

medication can be the Adjuvant therapy-yes stop the corperate slavery meds. jeez-First you shouldnt just stop taking Zoloft after two years if you feel something is wrong with the dosage that is a good sign-maybe you will be able to taper off. However I am a bit unsure why for depression anxiety and bipolar disorder Zoloft would be used alone. Perhaps you are right in that it was prescribed too easily to you. I hope that the insomnia and good feelings you are having are not do to a manic episode - because that would be the only reason for the adjustment you mentioned in increasing the dosage or switching. I have found that over the years the best treatment for depression anxietyand bipolar is medication in conjunction with cognitive therapy.......

First you shouldn't just stop taking Zoloft after two years if you feel something is wrong with the dosage that is a good sign-maybe you will be able to taper off. I have found that over the years the best treatment for depression anxiety and bipolar is medication in conjunction with cognitive therapy. Intense but there is no substitute. Years ago they used to believe that the brain doesn't grow/change- that neurons die off and new ones did not grow. Now we know better they do grow even in Alzheimer's patients!- So you have that new science and that connections between your neurons will continue to grow and change- depending on the knowledge you give them. What you need is a program where there are others that also fight the battle and therapists that can teach you to teach your brain. Eventually when you have made a substantial change in the way your brain works, the meds will be second place and for many become obsolete in the end. Good Luck, there are always alternatives and ways to get what we want- to be med free! There are just a few steps to climb before but I hope you are able to find a cognitive program that gives the knowledge it sounds like your brain is eager to have- and this friend is for a reason, a good one, it may just mean your brain is ready to receive instruction by you to go to the next level. Very exciting time, use it well and you will find your life will change and everything around you also, the people that are with you, everything!!!All the best!!
