If he has a peptic ulcer, he should avoid NSAIDs - so I would recommend Tylenol (assuming he does not also have underlying liver problems).

there's not enough info about the patient's medical history to make an informed med decision. call the patient's doctor & ask. sometimes, a small meal with a glass of water will help the pain. also consider a massage, chiropractic treatment, and yoga.
