I get extreme fear and am constantly on edge from PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) and I think it's actually bad for my health because of how often my heart is racing from it and I really, really need to get rid of it, what is considered the best medication for PTSD? Currently I haven't told anyone I have it so I'm not being properly medicated for it. (I'm bipolar and I take medication for that but it doesn't help with PTSD at all).

The best "medicine" for this, is actually psychological counselling and not medicine or pills. As time pass, your body will get used to the medicine and you will be back to square one. For initial phrase, Xanax may help to reduce anxiety and help with the racing heart beat, but the root problem, PTSD is still untreated.
Speak to a psychologist instead, who can help with the root problem.
It's not easy to deal with PTSD. The key is in your hands.
