A 3 foot needle penetrating your body no matter the size will be hitting major arteries and vital organs depending on where you are being punctured in the torso. Given the needles entry and exit points won't look as gruesome as say a bullet and may not be showing a lot of blood (at least as not as much as other things that could puncture your body) on the outside you will have serious internal trauma to your organs and arteries and internal bleeding would occur (this is all in the realm of possibility of where the person is stabbed). But what puzzles me is why you are asking this question?
