The directions say take 1 tablet(200 mg) every 4-6 hours while symptoms persist. If 1 tablet isn't sufficient, 2 tablets may be used, not to exceed 6 tablets in 24 hours.
But I don't understand this because I have prescription Ibuprofen that is 500 mg and the directions say take 1 tablet every 8 hours. So that's 1500 mg's in a day.
The over the counter is only 1200 mgs in a day(200 mg per pill x's 6 pills).
I am an adult. But I think your safe with the 6 in a day. Also I would use some ice on your injury as well.

take one or two. Read the bottle as well. If the pain doesn't go away within an hour or two take one or two more. Please do not overdose by taking multiple at once.

You can take between 1 ans 2 every 4 hours, do NOT take more than 6 in any 24 hours......
