.solving for y I NEED HELP

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 13-03-05] [Hit: ]
x - 3y = 7 → x = 3y + 7-I will not solve for you but Ill tell you the method.- 2x.You pretty much have to get the needed variable on one side of the equation, whatever side you want doesnt matter. Then you need to get the variable alone by either multiplication or division. These are very easy beginner problems and you can find many examples online on teaching websites!......
I need Help SOLVING FOR Y ?? Please help me?
5X + Y = 8 ---> SOLVE FOR Y

2X - Y = 4 ----> SOLVE FOR Y

3X - 3Y = -9 ---> SOLVE FOR Y

--------------------------------------…
ALSO CAB YOU HELP ME SOLVING FOR X TOO ?? THANKSS !

2X + 4Y = 8 ----> SOLVE FOR X

-1/2X + 5Y = 3 ----> SOLVE FOR X

X - 3Y = 7 -----> SOLVE FOR X

-
5x + y = 8 → y = -5x+8
2x - y = 4 → y = 2x-4
3x - 3y = -9 → y = x+3
2x + 4y = 8 → x= -2y+4
-1/2x + 5y = 3 → x = 10y-6
x - 3y = 7 → x = 3y + 7

I will not solve for you but I'll tell you the method.
Example problem: 2x + 24Y = 12
1) Get the Y variable alone onto one side of the equation:

2x + 2Y = 12
- 2x. -2x

2Y = 12 - 2x

2) Get Y alone:
2Y = 12 - 2x
*divide by 2 for both sides

Y = 6 - x

You pretty much have to get the needed variable on one side of the equation, whatever side you want doesn't matter. Then you need to get the variable alone by either multiplication or division. These are very easy beginner problems and you can find many examples online on teaching websites!

5X + Y = 8 ---> SOLVE FOR Y

subtract (5x) from each side...what do you get ??

y = 8 - 5x

Do you pay any attention in class ? Do you do any homework on your own ?

If these were any easier, they would fine you for impersonating a student...

one problem at a time !

-
y = -5x + 8
y = 2x - 4
y = x + 3
---------------------------------
x = -2y + 4
x = 20y - 12
x = 3y + 7
