the answer is 120 - 75 = 45.Hope this helped!......
6 numbers have an average of 20
If we take one away the average is 15.
What is the number

-
If 6 numbers have an average of 20, then we know that the sum of all the numbers is 120.
This because to find an average we use: Total of numbers/Number of numbers = Average
In this case it was: 120/6 = 20.

If we take the number away the average falls to 15.
So, it will now look like this: Total of numbers/Number of numbers = Average
? / 5 = 15
Rearrange the equation and we get 5 x 15 = 75
So, the answer is 120 - 75 = 45.
Hope this helped! :)
