Standard form linear equation

y=(-2/3)x-1-Standard form is Ax + By = C, so you simply add 2/3x to the other side.So first you want both x and y to be on one side.That will move it to the left.I hoped this helped!-Ax + By = C is the standard form for a linear equation.......
How do I change this equation to standard form? Please explain thanks!

y=(-2/3)x-1

-
Standard form is Ax + By = C, so you simply add 2/3x to the other side. This would give you 2/3x+y=-1

-
Slope Intercept Form: y=(-2/3)x-1
Standard Form: 2/3x+y= -1

So first you want both x and y to be on one side. Move -2/3x to the left by adding 2/3x to -2/3x
That will move it to the left. y=(-2/3x)-1
+2/3x +2/3x
Now you have 2/3x+y=-1

I hoped this helped!

Ax + By = C is the standard form for a linear equation.

Bring (-2/3)x to the other side by adding

(2/3)x + y = -1 <==== final answer
