the temperature in dunedin at midnight is -4 degrees Celsius
by midday it is 7 degrees celsius
what was the increase in temperature.
what would you do if it said decrease on another question give example
plz explain the terms increase and decrease in temperature and explain how to do the question plz

The temperature went from -4 degrees to 7 degrees which is from a lower to a higher temperature therefore there was an increase in temperature.
if it went from 7 degrees to -4 degrees that would be a decrease in temperature.
the increase in temperature from -4 to 7 is
7 - (-4) = 7 + 4 = 11
therefore there was an increase of 11 degrees celsius in the temperature
