A helicopter weighs 3920N and is moving up with the constant speed of 4m/s then calculate the force on heli..

g.Since it moves up at constant speed there is no other net force (ignoring air drag etc) and the actual speed is irrelevant.So F = ma = mg = 3920kg * 9.81 m/s^2 = 38445 N = 38.4 kN (3 s.f.......
I know the formula for Force that is F=ma but here I dont have acceleration then tell me how to do this problem and please do this problem and give reason for every step. Help me.

The force on the helicopter is due to the downward acceleration due to gravity, g.

Since it moves up at constant speed there is no other net force (ignoring air drag etc) and the actual speed is irrelevant.

So F = ma = mg = 3920kg * 9.81 m/s^2 = 38445 N = 38.4 kN (3 s.f.)
