Is there a good chance my school will have a snow day tomorrow

Its 11:00pm in my area. Tonight, while Im sleeping, the temperature is going to be a low of 32 degrees F. Its going to be raining lightly with a mix of snow. Do you think there's a good chance my school could have a snow day (closed)?? Will it make the road icy and dangerous?

It's possible but I'd say no. Either way make sure to be ready for school/work. Have all your homework done or work clothes out. If you have a snow day, you can chill and be ready for when school starts again. If you don't, you've wasted your time worrying about a snow day.

You probably won't get an ice storm, maybe a bit of slush. To get a good* ice storm, you need the ground temperature to be well below freezing and the air above to be above freezing, so the rain falls and freezes after it hits creating a glaze over everything.

* I define a "good" ice storm as one bad enough to cause school to be closed. (I always hated it when we had a big snowstorm on a weekend or during a vacation, so it didn't cause a snow day.

Honestly, I think it depends more on the location then the actual weather. In my state, we'll have several inches of snow (even up to a foot) all the time, and the schools will be like "meh, lets not cancel" But if you're in a state where snow and ice is uncommon, there's a good chance the schools will react very differently and possibly cancel. Is there any snow/ice already on the ground? If so, chances are very slim. Ice I'd think would be you best bet. Even where I am we've had ice days. There has to be rain and freezing temperatures though.
The chances are aways low though, so don't be disappointed. The best thing to do is to assume school will not be cancelled.

Probably not. While the road maybe a bit icy, salt trucks will probably be out before anything can get too bad. So you will most likely have school.
