When multiplying a fraction, just multiply straight across.

8m * 12
and
4 * m

So you get:

96m/4m

Now you can divide. The 2 m's cancel each other out (because any number divided by itself is 1)

96/4

Now just divide 96/4

24

96m/4m=24
