5 x^4 y^3 divided by 25 x^3 y^5
thank you so much! :)
thank you so much! :)

5 x^4 y^3
-------------.........Now I am sure you can reduce the 5 over 25 to 1 over 5
25 x^3 y^5
When it comes to the letters here are two rules I teach my students:
Look at the exponts and ask...........
(1) Where are there MORE
(2) HOW many more
Where are there more x's............Top
How many more..............1
Put an x in the numerator
Where are there more y's............Bottom
How many more..............2
Put an y² in the denomenator
x
-----..............ANSWER
5y²
Let me know how to get in touch if you do not fully understand.

5x^4y^3 / 25x^3y^5
Factor out (cancel) the common 5:
x^4y^3 / 5x^3y^5
Factor out (cancel) the common x^3:
xy^3 / 5y^5
Factor out (cancel) the common y^3:
x / 5y^2
Factor out (cancel) the common 5:
x^4y^3 / 5x^3y^5
Factor out (cancel) the common x^3:

Factor out (cancel) the common y^3:
x / 5y^2
