I've been trying to this for a while and I can't seem to udnerstand it. can anyone help me
find the image of: A (-2,-5) B (-6,0)
trans. (x,y) ---> (x+5, y-3)
describe the transformation, the direction of the trans, and new points.
thank you so much in advance!

in A(-2,-5) -2 is x and -5 is y
similarly in B (-6,0) -6 is x and 0 is y
so when they ask trans. (x,y) ---> (x+5, y-3) you just have to put in the values of x in the equation an get the (x,y values)
(x+y, y-3)
for point A= (-2+5, -5-3) ==>(3, -8)
for point B= (-6+5, 0-3) ==>( -1,-3)
plot it on the graph u ll get the direction of the new points...

Add 5 to each x point and subtract 3 from each y point. easy geometry
