Really stupid math question.

If it was that the Y intercept is 1/2 does that mean you move 1/2 of a space or over 1 and up 2?

The correct answer is neither of your given choices :
its not over 1 and up 2
its not over 2 and up 1 ,
and its not " Move a half space" either....

You move a half space UP on the y axis, and stay there.
so that ( 0, 1/2) is a point on the graph .

the y line is the up and down one on the graph.
the x is the the left and right.
you always do the y first so it would be up one, then from there you go right two.
just make sure you pay attention to the positives and negatives

i'm pretty sure you move 1/2 a space over..... cause if 1/2 was over 1 up 2 then it'd be the slope.

It means that you cross the y axis at 1/2 so the point is (0,1/2). in other words its just up 1/2.

It means the point (0, 1/2) is on your graph. 1/2 up

It means the line intersects the y axis at 1/2
