2.Bring the -3 to the right side of the equation, adding the 3 to the 1 to get 4.3.4.*Never flip the sign unless dividing by a negative number on both sides.......
Can you solve this inequality and tell me how you did?

-
you solve this just as if you would if that 'greater than or equal to' sign was an = sign.
so 4x-3=2x+1 would be
4x-2x=1+3
2x=4
x=4/2
x=2
x≥2

-
x≥2

1.isolate the variable, bring the 2x to the left side of the equation(the inequality functions as an equal sign), subtracting 2x from 4x to get 2x.

2.Bring the -3 to the right side of the equation, adding the 3 to the 1 to get 4.

3. The inequality now reads 2x≥4

4. Divide both sides by 2 to get x≥2

*Never flip the sign unless dividing by a negative number on both sides.

-
4x - 3 ≥ 2x + 1

Subtract 2x:
2x - 3 ≥ 1

Add 3:
2x ≥ 4

Divide by 2:
x ≥ 2
