c) If this person were hanging by both arms when both arms were directly overhead, then how much tension would each arm have in it?Can you please explain this, Im confused.......
An extremely overweight person lays on three scales to determine the total weight. The scale readings are 652 newtons, 1227 newtons, and 319 newtons.

a) How much does this person weigh?

b) If this person were to hang from one arm, then how much tension is in the arm?

c) If this person were hanging by both arms when both arms were directly overhead, then how much tension would each arm have in it?

Can you please explain this, I'm confused. Thanks in advance

a) W = Σw = 652+1227+319 = 2198 N

b) T = W = 2198 N

c) T = W/2 = 1099 N
