I'm from California. So, in 8th grade I took Geometry and now I'm in 9th. I looked at my schedule and it says Geometry Advanced. Shouldn't it be Algebra 2? I think I did so bad on the last year test of Geometry I have to do it again but in Advanced style since that's a speedy class and I took it before. Anyways, I got basic on the last year test for Geometry, IDK how I did that bad. Does that mean I'm retaking Geometry? Or is it supposed to be like that . . . Honest answers please! Thank you.

When I was in 8th grade, the most advanced math I could take was algebra 1..
[I was in a 6-8 middleschool]
Then if you did that, as a 9th grader, [freshman] you could take geometry your first cemester if you took algebra 1 in 8th grade & passed, then take algebra 2 for your 2nd cemester.. AT THE MOST. [then again I'm in TN..]
are you sure it wasnt algebra 1 that you actually took, & now your taking geometry? If you failed geometry when you took it I'm sure your school would've let you know somehow.. or maybe it's just a schedule mix up.. everyone makes mistakes so you might wanna contact your guidance counselor of whoever takes care of scheduling at your school to see whats up.. hope this helps!

Geometry is a 10th grade glass if I remember, unless you did outstanding on the test in 8th grade for it, I doubt you'd get a chance to do Algebra II, which is 11th grade.
