Converting to logarithmic form

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-07-08] [Hit: ]
.its easy for you to now just switch forms.In the first problem, 3=b, 5=y and 243=x. Therefore,......
convert these from exponential form to logarithmic form please
3^5=243
5^3=125
thanks!!

log3^243=5

log5^125=3

-
y = log (base b)x is equivalent to x = b^y
So...it's easy for you to now just switch forms.

In the first problem, 3=b, 5=y and 243=x. Therefore, in log form, the answer would be 5=log(base3)243. Now, I'm pretty sure you can do the second one.

log[base 3] 243 = 5

log[base 5]125 = 3
