1. Given the vectors A and B, determine B - A.
2. Determine A - B without using your answer in number 1. Then compare your results and see if they are opposite.
What I think I'm suppose to do is like make a chart using X and Y components..But I'm not sure. The answer for #1 is 80.7, and 1.56 degrees above the - x axis.. For #2, it's 80.7 and 1.56 degrees below the + x-axis.
Thanks!

Resolve the vectors into their x and y components using trigonometry.
Ax = 66cos28 = 58.3
Ay = 66sin28 = 31.0
Bx = -40cos56 = -22.4
By = 40sin56 = 33.2
1. X: -22.4 - 58.3 = -80.7
Y: 33.2 - 31.0 = 2.2
Use the pythagorean theorem to find the magnitude: 80.7
2. X: 58.3 - -22.4 = 80.7
Y: 31.0 - 33.2 = -2.2
Magnitude: 80.7
