What is the point of daylight savings time?

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 17-04-09] [Hit: ]
Started in wartime to relieve the shortage of farmers.Guess what they were doing.-Jack say: So that we get an extra hour Im of natural daylight in the evenings-D g say: You are right lets get rid of clocks and use sundial...It basically maximizes the daylight hours because as human wer use clocks to tell time and that means when we go to work we go by the clock time and.......
Farmers don't care, they operate between sunrise and Sunset, the time of day 1 hour one way or another makes no difference. Cows can not tell time, but they do see the Sun.

D g say: You are right lets get rid of clocks and use sundial... It basically maximizes the daylight hours because as human wer use clocks to tell time and that means when we go to work we go by the clock time and. That means as the suns position changes as we orbit it we have to adjust our clocks to adjust the time we need to go to work... Daylight saving time was most helpful to farmers because of their long work days

CarolOklaNola say: Supposedly to save money and increase tourism. and . It turns out that no, it does NOT save money on heating or cooling. Oh, it's supposed to make safer for Kids and commuters because they will be coming going to school or coming home when it is daylight.. That also probably is not true. It ID work during World War 2 but it was a 2 HOUR shift. It sure confused the Germans. for awhile. BOTH of my parents confirmed that.Yes, they both tried to join the Navy, but were turned down because of vision.
