Would major cities in Italy include the capitals of each region

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-10-30] [Hit: ]
just because a city is the capital of a region doesnt mean its a major city.I would say major Italian cities include Milan, Rome, Naples, Turin, Palermo,......
If not, what are the major cities? Thanks.

Probably not. For example, Aosta, the capital of the Aosta Valley region, only has a population of about 35,000 and it's not a major hub of anything. So, just because a city is the capital of a region doesn't mean it's a major city.

I would say major Italian cities include Milan, Rome, Naples, Turin, Palermo, Genoa, Bologna, and Florence pretty much in that order. There are plenty of other cities with rather large populations that also have significance but not as much as the aforementioned.
