Why do people move to cities

Because of the resources big cities have to offer.

Things to do 24 hours of the day
Cuisines/groceries from every ethnicity
Entertainment venues
Cultural venues
The shopping--Availability of everything you can think of

For me it's the convenience.

Because they enjoy places that are:

physically obsolete
financially unworkable
garbage strewn
polluted
torn by racial conflicts
and wallowing in welfare
unemployment
political corruption
and despair

1) Employment opportunities
2) To make more money
3)Prestige/ Social status

its where most of the jobs are
