: Multiply all values of the AB vector by the same number, so that when plugged into the magnitude equation : 28 is given.......
Find the vector which has magnitude 28 and is in the same direction as AB

Hi Taiyaba,
First of all find the vector AB , which is OB - OA.

(2i+7j+4k) - (5i+j+2k) = AB = (-3i+6j+2k)

Then you must use the formula for vector magnitude : squareroot{(a^2)+(b^2)+(c^2)}

And use a scalar product to make the AB vector magnitude 28.
ie.: Multiply all values of the AB vector by the same number, so that when plugged into the magnitude equation : 28 is given.
