Theoretically, what would happen if the sphere were left in super critical condition for a long period of time. Would the sphere continuously emit radiation/blue light x-rays?

It wouldn't stay that way. There would be a *deadly* amount of gamma radiation as the sphere developed enough heat to melt itself. It would then melt its way through whatever was holding that sphere and on through the floor. Along the way it would collect enough other stuff into itself that it would no longer be supercritical and the chain reaction would stop - but wow! What a dangerous mess it would leave behind!

Actually, if you had the technology to cool it, and (since we already have) the technology to hold things in place with magnetism, air, etc. It would be plausible.
