ampersand character, spell out Delta, semicolon character. You can get δ by substituting delta in the syntax.......
When a reaction is always spontaneous, which of the following must be true ?
A. Delta H is positive and Delta S is negative
B. Delta G is negative
C. Delta H is negative and T is Large
D. Delta S is negative and Delta S is negative

-
A chemical reaction is spontaneous (occurs with no outside intervention) when DG (Gibbs free energy) is negative. DG = DH - TDS ... Where DH is the enthalpy change and DS is the entropy change. Therefore, when DH is negative and DS is positive, DG will always be negative.

Certainly B is true. DG must be negative for a reaction to be spontaneous. Perhaps you have a typo in D.

You can get the Δ symbol by typing, in sequence with no spaces,
ampersand character, spell out Delta, semicolon character.
You can get δ by substituting delta in the syntax.
