YOU CAN SIMPLY MULTIPLY THAT SOMETHING BY 1/4 BECAUSE 25% IS 1/4. MULTIPLY THE TOP NUMBERS IN THE FRACTION BY THE BOTTOM NUMBERS( IF A NUMBER IS WHOLE, JUST WRITE A 1 UNDERNEATH IT TO REMIND YOU THAT ONE IS ITS BOTTOM NUMBER)Now what if you are finding 10% or 50%??? well common fractions for percents are:100% =1/190%=9/1080%=8/10=4/575%=3/470%=7/1066.......
25% off of $400 is 100, but how would I figure that out?

16 of 10,000.00
10 of 78.35
5 of 14.98
30 of 29.00
6 of 88.00
18 of 4,500.00
35 of 1,100.00

Please help me! Best answer 10 points.

Well for 25%, you can turn it into a fraction. 25% is the same as 25/100 and that is the same as 1/4

25% of 400 is 1/4 times 400. When you multiply fractions, you multiply the numbers on the top, then you multiply the numbers on the bottom:

1/4 * 400

is the same as

1/4 * 400/1

Top numbers: 1 * 400=400

Bottom numbers: 4 * 1=4

Final fraction answer equals top answer/bottom answer
we have just found out that it is 400/4

Now after you have your final fraction answer, you look at the numbers and see if you can divide the top number by the bottom number. Well can we in our case with 400/4? yes. The answer to 400/4 is 100.

THE LESSON IN ALL THAT STUFF UP THERE IS THAT IF YOU ARE FINDING 25% OF SOMETHING, YOU CAN SIMPLY MULTIPLY THAT SOMETHING BY 1/4 BECAUSE 25% IS 1/4. MULTIPLY THE TOP NUMBERS IN THE FRACTION BY THE BOTTOM NUMBERS( IF A NUMBER IS WHOLE, JUST WRITE A 1 UNDERNEATH IT TO REMIND YOU THAT ONE IS ITS BOTTOM NUMBER)

Now what if you are finding 10% or 50%??? well common fractions for percents are:

100% =1/1
90%=9/10
80%=8/10=4/5
75%=3/4
70%=7/10
66.666666666666%=2/3
60%=6/10=3/5
50%=5/10=1/2
40%=4/10=2/5
33.333333333333333%=1/3
30%=3/10
25%=1/4(we just did that, haha)
20%=2/10=1/5
10%=1/10
1%=1/100

To find other numbers not on the list like 16%, just break it down into smaller ones that you can find easily. For 16% do 10% + 5%(which is half of 10% since 5 is half of 10) + 1% (which you can find by moving the decimal place to the left after you have found 10% and to find 10% just move decimal once to the left, so for 1% move decimal twice to the left. In whole numbers like 56, the decimal is after the last digit, 56=56.000 so 10% of 56 is 5.6000, <---I just moved the decimal once to the left; and 1% of 56 is 0.56000 because I moved the decimal twice to the left. When you move the decimal beyond the very first number in the number, like past the 5 in 56, you put a zero infront of the decimal point, like I did: 0.56.)

For all fractions you can easily solve them the way I just described above, just practice with those ones that you have listed. For 35% do 10% + 10% +10% + 5% and for other ones just break them into the easy percents which are 10% or 25% or something like that. good luck in math.

LONG LIVE MATHEMATICS!

-
To figure out percentages, move the decimal place of the percentage over two places and multiply it times the other number.
For example 25% of 400 is the same as
.25 * 400 which equals 100.

-
Multiply .25 times 400. It'll give you the percentage.
In the others, divide the first number by the second. The decimal is the percentage.
1:.016%
2: 13%
3: 33%
4: 103%
5: 7%
6: 0.4%
7: 3%

-
25% is a quarter Quarter of 400 = 100
25/100 * 400 = 100
Do this with the rest
