There are two flowers that I was able to get pictures of at the zoo last week and I cant identify them on my own....can anyone help?

Flower #2 is an Asiatic Lady's slipper. It may well be a horticultural hybrid or variety, so I'd just call this one Paphiopedilum sp. (Cypripedium is the genus of native North American lady slippers). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paphiopedil…

Flower #1 I wasn't as sure of, but it certainly looks similar to an Iris - the flower structure is different, however, so I had to do some research on this one. I believe what you have is in the genus Neomarica (possibly Neomarica caerulea), which is also in the iris family.
