What happens when you mix 3-methyl-1-butanol + glacial acetic acid with a catalyst of H2SO4?
What smell does it have (the ester)?

I know it is an esterification reaction but I don't know the specific ester it makes..
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

The ester formed is called isoamyl acetate and smells like bananas. See reference below.
