Why is a monoatomic compound nonsense

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-08-23] [Hit: ]
If it is a compound, there must be at least two different types of atoms involved, because a compound is two or more elements chemically combined.does that clear it up?......
The suffix "Mono," means one, so there is a single atom, but a compound consists of equal to or more than two different types of atoms that are chemically combined to make one soluble solution.

Thus, you can not make a compound with one type of atom.
