Yes, I've googled this but I can only find the formulas for Hydrogen peroxide and Sodium peroxide... But on the paper it just says peroxide.

Compare the formulas you found. The part that's the same for both is peroxide.

A compound containing an oxygen oxygen single bond. a peroxide itself is not a compound. If you have O2 2- you need a molecule there with a 2+ charge.
