D.2. Which substance is an electrolyte?A.B.C.......
1. Which balanced equation represents a phase change?

A. H2(g) + i2(g) = 2HI(g)
B. 2NO2(g) = N2O4(g)
C. Cl2(g) = Cl2 (l)
D. 3O2(g) = 2O3(g)
*** equal signs are supposed to be arrows pointing both ways

2. Which substance is an electrolyte?
A. CCl4
B. C2H6
C. HCl
D. H2O

3. Which formula represents a molecular compound?
1. HI
2. KI
3. KCl
4. LiCl

4.Which two formulas represent Arrhenius acids?

A. CH3COOH and CH3CH2OH
B. HC2H3O2 and H3PO4
C. KHCO3 and KHSO4
D. NaSCN and Na2S2O3

Please explain HOW to get the answer thnxx!!

1. Answer is Choice C. The diatomic chlorine is going from gas to liquid. In the other choices, everything else stays in the gaseous form. The 'g' in parenthesis means its a gas, 'l' means liquid, 's' means solid, 'aq' means aqueous (dissolved in water).

2. Choice C. HCl is an electrolyte. Electrolytes are compounds that break apart to form ions. Most acids and ionic compounds are electrolytes.

3. Choice 1. Hydroiodic Acid is a molecular compound. The rest are ionic compounds. Compounds with only non-metals are generally molecules. Compounds with metals are generally ionic. Although, there are exceptions to both, when you have network solids and other stuff.

4. Choice B. I answered this one in your other question.

Hope I helped :)
