The atomic weight of antimony is 121.75 u. There are two naturally occurring isotopes of antimony. 121Sb has an isotopic mass of 120.9038 u and has a natural abundance of 57.25%. What is the isotopic mass of the other isotope 123Sb? i just need the answer not how to do it. thanks

No, really, it's 42.

Just kidding.

Here's the equation to use 120.9038*0.5725 + x*(1-0.5725)=121.75

Now it's easy algebra. I'll let you do that part.

Ok, now this is gonna be a problem. We're here to help you understand chemistry, and even to assist in calculations, but not to simply give you an answer.

Try 42.

Are you figuring it out yet, Yowie? We don't just give out answers. Our job is to teach folks some chemistry. If all you want is an answer, and not to learn how to get the answer, then that's .... that's just sad.
