the height of the attic (triangle) is 18ft and the slope the slope is 3/4. what is the length of x?
(it's and equilateral triangle, and "x" is the left diagonal)
A)20ft
B)24ft
C)30ft
D)42ft
thanks ahead of time!!

1/2 Horizontal length of attic is 18(4/3) = 24ft
x^2 = 18^2 + 24^2
x = 30 ft <----------------Solution
HOW CAN IT BE EQUILATERAL?
x^2 = 18^2 + 24^2
x = 30 ft <----------------Solution
HOW CAN IT BE EQUILATERAL?

I think I can do this problem, but I am not sure what you mean but "x is the left diagonal"
If it is an equilateral triangle, and you are giving us the height, the height is called the altitude.
So you give us the height and the slope, then you can figure out the third side using the Pythagorean Theorem.
But can you edit your question and tell me what you mean by "x" then I can help you much better! :)
P.S. Since it's an equilateral triangle all the sides would be 3/4!
